First time I've heard SST was when I ordered an Oi Polloi tape from someone from Portugal's Inkisição and I got it with SST's "Demo '93" on the other side. I ended up listening to their 9 punk blasts few hundred times and only few listens of Oi Polloi.
Six songs from that demo (I guess) are on A side of this LP.
If their beer fueled political punk doesn't make you pogo when no one's looking - you're just not punk enough. Ha-ha. This is punk as fuck.
After the band broke up, SST's vocalist Simon moved to NYC and sang for the last line up of Distraught and when they broke up Thought Crime was born.
There was supposed to be SST discography on Profane Existence but I guess that's not gonna happen. They also had an EP on Swiss "Resistance Productions" label.

great band. bought the LP years ago, but never got it transferred to MP3. thanks for posting this! Mikhail
Been a long time since I last heard this lot, cheers ;)
oh christ - the nostalgia never ends - haven't heard this in so long - thank 'ee kindly squire!
Wow! This version sounds better than a previous one I had. It's like if this one got remasterded!
Haha, I was the original guitarist for this band, brings back some memories!!!
Always nice to hear from the members of the bands featured here. You had truly great band and I am a big fan and so is a lot of other people as SST album is by far most downloaded on this blog. Cheers for dropping a line.
Hey, thanks a bunch. Im still in touch with Simon (vocals) and John, the old bass player, we've been talking about a reunion for old times sake... maybe it'll happen.
If it happens be sure to make a tour and to cross through Croatia. It's just a bit over 800 miles from where you are (ha-ha). I've just checked out the LP and now I can put the face with the name. You're the geezer with the Crass t-shirt. Ha!
Oh, yes! Is it possible in any way that you rip the EP that you've put out on Pablo's label. Never heard it. Also, do you know something about that SST discography on Profane? I'd really love to hear more of SST. Cheers
Yeah, thats me with the shirt. Simon and I were the original members pretty much. The four of us live in three different counties now, USA (Simon and me), UK (Keith) and Australia (John) but we are still talking about doing the reunion.
I can rip the 7" sometime, along with some old demos... may take me a while though.
Apparently the discography CD is still supposed to happen sometime on Profane existance. Not sure of the details though.
Quite frankly Im flattered that people still remember us!
So it seems that it's a bit over 800 miles then - and an aussie.
Anyway, if you'll rip that stuff it would be awesome, no hurry.
And for the tour (not SST necessarily), if you pass with a band through Italy, Austria, Slovenia or somewhere else near Croatia, I guess that I could arrange you few dates in few towns here.
Just so you know. Cheers.
Hi!
I was the one who sent you that tape and that as a long time ago.
Funny reading about this after all these years.
Cheers everyone.
Hello Rui.
Now that I see your full name it surely rings a bell. I cannot thank you enough for discovering SST to me. It's great about this blogging thing that this way I've "ran into" some people that I've lost contact with really long time ago. Nice to hear from you. Cheers.
Alrighty, I ripped the 7" but i'm not sure what to do with it - let me know and you can post it.
Thanks
Cheers Chris! Can't wait to hear it. You can upload it to any upload site like rapidshare or mediafire and just send me the link to malisha_old666@yahoo.com
Then I'll re-upload it on my account and post it here. Thanx.

Irishpunk77, thanks for pointing to the other SST stuff. I'm sure that a lot of people will appreciate it. All of that stuff is so hard to get nowadays and it shouldn't be missed. SST were truly great punk band.
