Nula/Enough! split 10"

This was requested by Danijel, so here it is.
This split is a result of Nula european tour in '97 whose Polish part they did with Enough!.
Nula is Croatian anarcho hardcore punk band that marked nineties punk scene here (and basically in all ex-Yugoslavia). In 1994 they released 90 minute tape accompanied with the fanzine (you can find it here) of angry political music while the war was still a reality here (strange, but there wasn't d-beat bands outburst - hence the war). At that time the scene was pretty much dead. After the release of that tape the whole scene seemed to become alive with bands and zines popping up everywhere and that was really the golden age (in my opinion) of the ex-Yu scene. I could write alot more about them, but let's focus on this release. Here they offer 6 live songs recorded in Rostock on that tour with the last one being cover of Scuffy Dogs, the band from Slovenia whose drummer Sašo was driving the van and singing this song on tour.
Enough! are from Poland and they play slow and heavy crust with downtuned guitars that give them that Dystopia feeling. They also offer 6 of their songs (first three are melting one into another). The stuff on this split is from their 1st tape called "Darkside" that was only available in Poland. At the time of recording they had male and female vocalists (later just male).
The thing with this record is that the bands wanted to make a little reminder of the tour and also to put some of their "older" stuff on vinyl.

Bagger/Lieselotte split LP

This split brings two excellent bands from Switzerland. Bagger from Biel are crust with fe/male vocals sung in German and Lieselotte from Geneve are more of grinding crust with a touch of death metal and sludge sung in English, French and Spanish. I really cannot decide which one is better because both bands kick some serious ass.
While I don't know much about Lieselotte I was lucky enough to watch Bagger live and that was a gig to remember. Their shows were much more than just music. They had a total apocalyptic performance including a web in front of the stage crawled with creepy alienesque creatures, fire and what not else including a projections from the truck outside the show. That show was one truly unique experience and I hope that it is available somewhere in video format. Here you can see just a tiny bit from their shows.
Today these two bands' members are working as well known crusties called Pack. Let it rip.
Oh, yes. I thought I could mention that Bagger side of the LP is played from the inside out, so if you have automatic tonearm on your turntable it would be really annoying trying to play it from the beginning.

...And Now Back To Our Programming

I guess this summer is kind of finished for me. It's been two very good spent weeks at the coast during my days off work including a weekend at Monte Paradiso festival, then bbq the next day at my Aussie friend Phil's place with the guys from Pisschrist and Sotatila, then few days of chilling out and a bit of swimming, then a weekend on festival in Šibenik then chilling out some more.
The good news for the visitors of this blog is that I've got a working turntable again thanx to above mentioned Aussie Phil who brought me Technics SL-1210 mkII that I've managed to find in the UK ads for 155 pounds (around 100 pounds cheaper than here) and it works like a charm, so you can expect some new rips very soon. The bad thing is that I've spent one whole fucken' week trying to find UK to euro power cord adapter in dosens of electro,
computer and similar shops. That was a fucking nightmare, but I finally got it.
The music that was keeping me company while driving from place to place along the coast was mostly Calavera, Mind Pollution, Entombed, Warcollapse, Zeke, last Inepsy album (fuck yeah) and new Active Minds CD (yes-CD) that really as they say on their myspace "rocks like a bastard". I almost forgot how much I love this band.
Now I'm back at work and my car needs to have a big repair, so I need to save quite a lot of money, so I will miss this and that hurts as fuck. Some of my favourites play there and I'll be working for the bossman.
I've put a picture of me and my russian fins going to action so that those of you that are spending the summer somewhere on the hot concrete feel at least a bit jealous of me.
Cheers.

I met the vocalsit Dave Shadow while he was on European tour with Mutiny and he really looks like Neil of Tribal War Records that in the thanx on the cover they call him Neil - are you two brothers?

G.I.S.M. "Bootleg Discography"

Well, hello there!
It's been a while since last post. It's mainly due to my turntable being fucked up and it seems that anything heavier than 7" makes it rub the bottom of the platter somewhere and therefore the music gets slower for a sec on that part of the circle, so I'm waiting for some cheap Technics MKII to pop up in the ads. Also I'm having a lot of work around the house right now so...
Anyway, to break the silence I'll put this bootleg of the mighty G.I.S.M. fame. Since last post was shamefully downloaded just 3 times I know that this will be more interesting to you since everything japanese goes extremely well. This seems to be comprised of Detestation LP, uncomplete Military Affairs Neurotic (M.A.N.) LP and tracks from Outsider, The Punx tape and Hardcore Unlawful Assembly compilations. I got this a couple of years ago (can't remember how) and you already have better bootlegs (don't you?), but why not have this one too? For all G.I.S.M. junkies. Anarchy And Violence - Punks Is Hippies!!!
